Goodbye and Hello

Renew would like extend a farewell from our clinic to Craig Lyall, RMT. Craig has taken a RMT job in Fernie so that he can spend more time on the mountain snowboarding.

Craig, we will miss you around here and wish you the best of luck!

We would also like to welcome Sandra Robertson, a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist. In her practice, Sandra utilizes a combination of Acupuncture, Diet and Herbal therapy, Cupping therapy, Warming Moxibustion, Auricular Therapy, Tuina Massage and Pranic Healing. Her healthy attitude is a derivative of her innate ability to help others attain optimal health and to supply them with the tools to maintain a balanced Body, Mind and Spirit.

Both our Acupuncturists, Sandra and Victoria, would like to offer a Chinese New Year Special. Come in before February 14th and receive an Initial Acupuncture treatment for $40 (regularly $80)!

The new prices including HST are as follows:

30 minute treatment: $50.40
45 minute treatment: $72.80
60 minute treatment: $89.60
75 minute treatment: $112.00
90 minute treatment: $134.40

Craig is going on a trip!

Craig is going to Costa Rica and will be away for the rest of May! While he is away Maddie McIntyre will be working some of his shifts and taking care of his patients.

Maddie completed her massage therapy training at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria in 2005. After graduation Maddie opened Monte Vista Massage Therapy in Nanoose Bay and practiced there for 2 years before moving to Victoria. During this time she pursued additional training in the Dr. Vodder School of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), Maddie has the highest level of training in MLD available and is certified to treat all lymphatic conditions.
In treatment Maddie incorporates deep tissue Swedish massage with aspects of myofascial release, MLD, cranio-sacral therapy, and muscle energy techniques where she aims to individualize all her treatments to the patient’s specific needs.
Maddie has a passion for the wilderness and loves to go camping, canoeing and hiking. She is also an avid world traveler but loves curling up at home with a good book too. We are very happy to have Maddie working with us for this month.

Illya Borreson obtained his Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine Degree at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Victoria B.C. (2002). He concluded his studies with an internship at Tianjing Second Univerisity Hospital in Tianjing, China. His intensive experince there sparked a profound appreciation for Chinese culture, philosophy and tradition.
